The Senior Staff Accountant is responsible for assisting the Director of Finance with monthly financials and providing analytic support. This position requires a skilled and detail-oriented Sr Staff Accountant to play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Perform day to day financial transactions including verifying and posting accounts, processing invoices, preparing ACH/Wire payments and cash receipt posting. Prepare and review journal entries and post accounts payable transactions for assigned areas of focus by established deadlines. Review, analyze and reconcile accounts on a monthly basis . Assist with Month, quarterly and year end close. Maintain and improve financial analysis tools and models to proactively identify variances and analyze and present key findings. Prepare semi-monthly payroll. Assists with audit process; gather necessary account information and documents to perform an annual audit. Education & Experience Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is helpful but not required Three years of experience in a finance or accounting environment is preferred. Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Excel with demonstrated ability to perform analysis and modeling . This position, and all others at AMCA International may be modified at any time.
