This Tax accounting position is responsible for both income and non-income tax compliance for the Americas.Specific responsibilities include the following: Prepare state and local income tax returns and franchise tax returns, annual reports, estimated payments and extensions in a timely and accurate manner. Assist with the preparation of federal partnership and corporate income tax returns. Prepare tax work papers, schedules, exhibits and research summaries necessary to develop and support findings and/or recommendations. Prepare aspects of the Company's ASC 740 tax provision. Maintain financial statement tax accounts, including proper record-keeping and maintenance of tax accounting records for each Americas entity. Assist with federal tax audits and state income/franchise audits. Respond to IDRs, notices, inquiries, and general correspondence with taxing authorities. Perform tax research and provide conclusions thereon. Provide technical advice on multi-state tax issues Prepare annual 1099 forms and maintain vendor setups. Prepare Form 940 PF return for Fossil Foundation. Your Skills Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting required, CPA preferred 1 year tax compliance experience preferred Ability to analyze, and interpret tax legislation and applicable governmental policies, general business periodicals, professional journals, or technical procedures Excellent written and verbal communication skills at both the technical and lay level Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions Experience with Onesource Tax software preferred.
