Practice Area: Corporate - M&A,Corporate - Contract Law, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 4 Years, Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to play a pivotal role in the firm's global expansion initiatives, oversee international commercial contracts, handle general corporate transactional matters, and ensure compliance with legal and corporate governance standards.Duties:Assist in developing strategies for the Firm’s global expansion initiatives, including lateral hires, mergers, and acquisitions, opening new offices, or entering into joint ventures.Draft, review, and negotiate client and vendor contracts and commercial leases, leading international commercial contract matters.Handle general corporate transactional matters, including complex MSAs, RFPs, and NDAs.Respond to client compliance requests and vendor inquiries regarding third-party contractual and compliance obligations.Attend key governance functions and participate in ad hoc projects such as future new office openings.Requirements:JD is required with an active US Bar license.Dual qualification in an additional EU location is ideal.4-8 years of experience with high-volume international commercial contracts and transactional MA work is essential.Experience practicing at a large or mid-sized law firm, preferably with a substantial global practice supporting clients with cross-border legal issues.Entrepreneurial quickness balanced with professional insight.Familiarity with laws and regulations relevant to client onboarding.Skills:Excellent time management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work product.Superior interpersonal, relationship management, and communication skills.Understanding of cultural differences and ways of working.Gravitas, credibility, and self-confidence are balanced with collaboration.Strong professional pride, work ethic, commitment to diversity, and respect for others.Superior writing and oral communication skills, with the ability to adapt style and format while maintaining substance for the audience.Education Certifications:Juris Doctor (JD) degree.Active US Bar license.Location: Phoenix, AZ This law firm provides legal representation in matters related to immigration law.
