MISSION STATEMENT Homeboy Industries provides hope, training, and support to formerly gang-involved and recently incarcerated people, allowing them to redirect their lives and become contributing members of our community. Job Summary As AP Specialist you will perform all duties in the Accounts Payable cycle for internal check requests and outside vendor payments. We are seeking a team-oriented individual who will be ready to assist other departments with payment processing and maintain vendor relationships. Key Responsibilities Receive, review, and process incoming invoices accurately and efficiently Communicate with vendors regarding invoice discrepancies, payment inquiries, and other related matters Enter and upload vendor invoices into Bill.com system for coding and payment Match purchase orders against invoices Work with other departments for proper approvals and coding Prepare and process payments, including checks, ACH transfers, and wire transfers, in a timely manner Generate emergency checks for special situations as they arise daily Assist with GL coding, expense report processing and reconciliations as needed Maintain organized and accurate records of all accounts payable transactions in Quickbooks Assist with financial analysis and reporting tasks as assigned. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant regulations Qualifications 2+ years of experience in accounts payable Preferred: Experience in Bill.com and/or Quickbooks Desktop Team player, open to helping the team whenever necessary Non-profit experience strongly preferred Ability to build relationships with internal departments and external parties Ability to use Microsoft software such as Excel and Word Understanding of the organization’s mission and be willing to adapt to urgent requests Detail oriented and organized Remain open and adaptable to change and new opportunities for growth. Pay Rate $24.00-$28.00 The actual compensation offered may vary depending on qualifications and other factors essential to the performance of duties that have been determined by the hiring authority.
