If so, then you've come to the right place!General SummaryThis position is responsible for sampling, testing, and inspection of construction materials or elements in a field setting to ensure compliance with the supplier and/or owner specifications. Work one on one with accepting agencies. Coordinate QC sampling and testing on projects between third party QC firms and QA. Perform quality inspections on items of work and work with crews to resolve deficiencies prior to acceptance of work.Essential Job Accountabilities * Ensure compliance with the supplier and/or owner specifications by collecting and preparing construction material samples. * Asphalt and Aggregate density testing * Perform HMA sampling * Extract HMA cores from compacted surface * Establish asphalt paving rolling patterns * Prepare and communicate testing and inspection results to supervisors to ensure quality control standards are satisfied and process changes can be implemented. * Participate in and promote Granite's safety procedures to promote a safe working environment. * Work Experience * 2+ years of related experience, preferred. * Regional or State Agency certification for material being sampled, tested, inspected, preferred. * Knowledge Skills, and Abilities * Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite * Good oral and written communication skills. * Valid driver's license and ability to drive * Team player * Ability and willingness to consistently abide by Granite's Code of Conduct daily. * Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
