Practice Area: IP - Litigation - Hard Science General,IP - Litigation - Electrical Engineering,IP - Litigation - Computer Science, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 1 Years, A law firm is seeking an Intellectual Property Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team in Chicago, IL.Job Overview:The Intellectual Property Litigation Associate Attorney will be responsible for handling various aspects of intellectual property litigation cases, with a focus on soft IP including trade secrets. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, exceptional research and analysis abilities, and persuasive writing capabilities.Duties:Represent clients in intellectual property litigation matters, including trade secrets and other soft IP disputes.Conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and prepare pleadings, motions, and briefs.Assist with all aspects of the litigation process, including discovery, depositions, hearings, and trial preparation.Collaborate with partners and senior associates on case strategy and client management.Provide legal counsel to clients on intellectual property issues and strategies.Requirements:1-4 years of experience in intellectual property litigation, with a focus on soft IP including trade secrets.Bachelor's degree and/or an advanced degree in electrical engineering or computer science preferred.Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the Illinois, California, New York, or District of Columbia Bar, active and in good standing.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Track record of insightful research and analysis.Persuasive writing abilities.Education and Certifications:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the Illinois, California, New York, or District of Columbia Bar, active and in good standing.Bachelor's degree and/or an advanced degree in electrical engineering or computer science preferred.Skills:Litigation experience, preferably in intellectual property matters.Strong research and analysis skills.Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
